Fort Mau Mubarak whose remains are still present 10 km north of Rahim Yar Khan city. It is 5000 years old. Of all the forts built by Saharas, it is the only one which has managed to survive by fighting against history. History books are silent regarding the authentic information of this fort.

The information about this fort that has reached us today has been transmitted from one place to another by the inhabitants of this place. And there were towers. The vast structure of the fort was filled with mud while its walls made of solid and thick bricks were very strong and wide. Many stories and legends are well known about a large and mysterious stone that is here. People here say that this stone was used to weigh giants. It now weighs 1 ton and has various markings on it. This fort is an important part of our glorious culture which is still waiting in the form of ruins at the sight of Hukam Rano at a distance of ten kilometers from Rahim Yar Khan. The ancient citadel of Mau Mubarak is still present.

This fort was built by Raja Sahans for the residence of his mother. Once upon a time, the fort had twenty towers and four walls. The wall was strong and strong. Mahmud Ghaznavi conquered this fort during his invasions and had it repaired. In 1569, Sultan Hussain Arghoon again conquered this fort. Hazrat Sheikh Hameed-ud-Din Hakim, who was the special caliph of Hazrat Shah Rakn-e-Alam, chose this place for his residence and converted thousands of families here to Islam. After his death, his body was laid to rest here.
