Conducting career counseling seminars for students at Okara University, University and industry need time, says Vice Chancellor

اوکاڑہ(امجدحسین)اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے شعبہ تعلقات عامہ نےابلاغیات، نفسیات، سیاسیات اور انٹرنیشنل ریلیشنز کے طلباء کے لیے

ایک سیمینار کا انعقادکیا جس میں صحافت کے پیشے سے وابستہ معروف شخصیات نے روایتی میڈیا اور سوشل میڈیا میں ملازمت اورکاروبار کے مواقع کے حوالے بات چیت کی اور طلباء کے سوالات کے جوابات دیےسیمینار میں اسد اللہ خان، طارق حفیظ بزمی، سلمان خان، حیدر حیات خان، حسین جٹ، عمر نذیر خان اور رانا بلال تبسم سمیت دیگر پیشہ ور صحافی موجود تھےوائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریا ذاکر نے بھی طلباء سے خطاب کیا اور یونیورسٹی اور انڈسٹری کے مابین اشتراک کی اہمیت پہ زور دیااسد اللہ خان نے طلباء کو سیٹیزن جرنلزم کی طرف آنے اور سوشل میڈیا میں موجود مواقع سے فائدہ اٹھانے کی ترغیب دی جب کہ طارق حفیظ بزمی نے ڈگری مکمل کرنے کے بعد موزوں ملازمتیں حاصل کرنے کے لیے درکار صلاحیتوں کو سیکھنے کی اہمیت واضع کی۔اس موقع پر انچارج شعبہ ابلاغیات ڈاکٹر زاہد بلال، انچارج نفسیات زویا یعقوب، انچارج سیاسیات عثمان شمیم ،انچارج انٹرنیشنل ریلیشنزفاخرہ شاہد، ریذیڈنٹ آفیسر ڈاکٹر شہزاد احمد اور شعبہ عمرانیات کے اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شہزاد فرید بھی موجود تھے۔

Interactive Session on Career Counselling Held at UO

The Public Relations Department of the University of Okara organized an interactive session on Career Counselling for the students of the Departments of Communication Studies, Phycology, International Relations and Political Science. The professional journalists and media anchors including Assad Ullah Khan, Tariq Hafeez Bazmi, Salman Khan, Hussain Jutt, Umar Nazir Khan and Rana Bilal Tabbasum interacted with the students and answered their questions regarding the challenges and opportunities in the media industry. 

The UO’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar also addressed to the students and stressed the need of regular interaction and liaison between the university and industry.  

Assad Ullah Khan urged the students to resort to citizen journalism and tap the potential of the digital media for their career growth. Tariq Hafeez asked for building care skills in the relevant fields so that the students could suit well to the industry needs after passing out. 

The In-charge Communication Studies Dr. Zahid Bilal, In-charge Psychology Zoya Yaqub, In-charge International Relations Fakhra Shahid, In-charge Political Science Usman Shamim, Lecturer Sociology Dr. Shehzad Farid and Resident Officer Dr. Shahzad Ahmed were also present in the seminar.
