اوکاڑہ(جاوید راہی)اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے سنڈیکیٹ نے تقرریوں کےلیے اسکریننگ پالیسی کی منظوری دےدی رجسٹرار اور کنڑولر کی تعیناتی کےلیے حکام بالا کو سفارشات پیش، یونیورسٹی انتظامیہ کو بھرپور تعاون کی یقین دہانی

اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی خطے میں اعلی تعلیم کے فروغ کےلیے قابل تحسین کام کر رہی ہےاوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے سنڈیکیٹ نے اپنے پندرھرویں اجلاس کے دوران تمام انتظامی اسٹاف کی تقرریوں کےلیے ایک جامع اسکریننگ پالیسی کو عمل میں لانے کی منظوری دے دی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ یونیورسٹی میں رجسٹرار اور کنڑولر کی تعیناتی کےلیے سرچ کمیٹی کی سفارشات منظور کرتے ہوئے قانون کی روشنی میں فیصلے کےلیے حکام بالا کو بھیج دی گئیں۔

اجلاس کی صدارت وزیر ہائیر ایجوکیشن پنجاب راجا یاسر ہمایوں سرفراز نے کی۔  اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریا ذاکرنے تقرریوں میں میرٹ اور شفافیت کو یقینی بنانے کے حوالے سے یونیورسٹی کی پالیسی واضع کی جس کے بعد سنڈیکیٹ نے یونیورسٹی کو تمام انتظامی اسٹاف کی تقرریوں کےلیے امیدواران کی شارٹ لسٹنگ کرنے کے حوالے سے کسی تیسرے آزاد ادارے کی خدمات لینے کی اجازت دے دی۔ملک میں اسپیشل ایجوکیشن کی بڑھتی ہوئی ضروریات کو مد نظر رکھتے ہوئے سنڈیکیٹ نےیونیورسٹی کو اپنے اسپیشل ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ کےلیے ایک پی ایچ ڈی استاد کی تقرری کی اجازت بھی دی۔

اجلاس کے اختتام پہ راجا یاسر نے ضلع اوکاڑہ اور اسے کے گرد و نواح کے سولہ ہزار سے زائد طلباء کو اعلی تعلیم کی سہولیات کی فراہمی کے حوالے سے اوکاڑہ نیورسٹی انتظامیہ کی خدمات کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا۔ پروفیسر زکریا نے تمام ممبرز کا شکریہ ادا کیا اور خطے میں اعلی تعلیم کے فروغ کےلیے اپنی کاوشوں کو جاری رکھنے کا عزم کیا۔

UO Syndicate approves third party screening policy for recruitment

The University of Okara’s Syndicate, in its 15th meeting held at the New Ministers’ Block Civil Secretariat Lahore, unanimously approved the third party screening policy for all of the administrative positions. Moreover, the body upheld the recommendations of the Search Committee regarding the appointment of Registrar and Controller Examinations and forwarded them to the higher authorities for consideration. The meeting was chaired by the Minister Higher Education Punjab, Raja Yassir Humayun Sarfraz. The UO Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar elaborated the university’s stance on ensuring transparency and meritocracy in recruitments. Considering this, the Syndicate allowed the university to hire the services of an independent screening organization for the shortlisting of candidates through written tests. Keeping in view the needs of the special education sector, the body approved the induction of a faculty member holding PhD degree for the uplifting of the UO’s Department of Special Education. 

At the end of the meeting, the minister hailed UO administration’s efforts for successfully providing decent higher education opportunities to more than 16,000 students of district Okara and its vicinities. The VC thanked the Syndicate members for attending the meeting and vowed to continue his endeavors for the betterment of higher education standards and facilities in the region.
