اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی میں یوم پاکستان کی تقریبات، سیمینارز اور خصوصی لیکچرز کا انعقاد،تقریبات شعبہ ابلاغیات،سیاسیات بین الاقوامی تعلقات کی جانب سے منعقد کی گئیں

Okara University hosted Pakistan Day celebrations, seminars and special lectures, events were organized by the Department of Communication, Politics and International Relations.

اوکاڑہ(جاوید راہی)اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی میں یوم پاکستان کے حوالے سے مختلف تقریبات منعقد ہوئیں جن میں سیمینارز اور خصوصی لیکچرز شامل ہیں۔ پہلا سیمینار شعبہ ابلاغیات نے منعقد کیا جب کہ شعبہ سیاسیات اور شعبہ بین الاقوامی تعلقات نے مل کر ایک سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا ان تقریبات کا مقصد طلباء میں یوم پاکستان کی اہمیت اور حساسیت اجاگر کرنا تھا۔ 

اس موقع پر اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریا ذاکر نے اپنے خصوصی پیغام میں کہا کہ نوجوان نسل میں دو قومی نظریے کی اہمیت کا شعور بیدار کرنا اور ان کو یہ باور کرانا کے ہمارے اجداد نے برصغیرکے مسلمانوں کے لیے ایک الگ وطن حاصل کرنے کی خاطر کتنی قربانیاں دی ہیں بے حد ضروری ہے۔

تحریک پاکستان میں میڈیا کے کردار پہ روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے شعبہ ابلاغیات کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر زاہد بلال کا کہنا تھا کہ صحافت کا اصل مقصد پسماندہ طبقات کو تقویت دینا اور معاشرے میں مثبت تبدیلی پیدا کرنے کےلیے کوشش کرنا ہے۔

شعبہ سیاسیات کے سربراہ عثمان شمیم نے ان سارے واقعات کا ذکر کیا جو قرارداد پاکستان کی وجہ بنے اور طلباء کو اس بات کی ترغیب دی کہ وہ ملک میں جمہوریت اور قانون کی بالادستی کے فروغ کےلیے کوشش کریں۔

شعبہ بین الاقوامی تعلقات کی سربراہ فاخرہ شاہد نے بتایا کہ دو قومی نظریہ ہماری طاقت ہے اور ہمیں اس پہ فخر کرنا چاہیے تاکہ بین الاقوامی سطع پر ہم اپنی منفرد شناخت کو قائم رکھ سکیں اس موقع پر طلباء نے ملی نغمے پیش کیے اور پرچم کشائی بھی کی گئی

Pakistan Day seminars held at UO

A series of seminars were held at the University of Okara in connection with the Pakistan Day. The first event was organized by the Department of Communication Studies while the Department of Political Studies and Department of International Relations organized a joint session to sensitize the students on the signification of Pakistan Resolution and Pakistan Ideology. 

The UO Vice Chancllor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, in his special message on the eve said that it was impertinent to impart the youth the essence of the Two Nation Theory and how our ancestors struggled and sacrificed for the establishment of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent. 

Highlighting the role of the Muslim press in Pakistan movement, Dr Zahid Bilal, In-Charge Department of Communication Studies, told that journalism was meant to empower the downtrodden and bring positive change in the society. 

Usman Shamim, In-Charge Department of Political Science, discussed the events that led to the Pakistan resolution and urged the students to ensure their healthy political participation in order to ensure rule of law and democracy in the country. 

Fakhara Shaid, In-Charge Department of International Relations, argued, “the Two Nation Theory is our identity and we have to own it and be proud of it in order to establish our distinctiveness in international community”.  

The students also presented national anthem and hoisted the flag.
