Seminar on modern research trends held at Okara University

اوکاڑہ(جاویدراہی)یونیورسٹی کے شعبہ ٹورازم اور شعبہ معاشیات نے تحقیق کے جدید رجحانات کے موضوع پہ ایک آن لائن سیمینار کا انعقاد کیا جس میں پاکستان کی مختلف یونیورسٹیوں کے  سو سے زائد شرکاء نے تحقیق کےطریقہ ہائے کار، افادیت اور پیشہ ورانہ زندگی میں اس کے کامیاب استعمال پہ بحث کی۔ 

سیمینار کی صدارات شعبہ ٹوارزم اور اکنامکس کے سربراہ ڈاکٹر فاروق احمد نے کی جب کہ وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریا ذاکر اس کے سرپرست اعلی تھے۔

سیمینار کے مقاصد بیان کرتے ہوئے ڈاکٹر فاروق نے بتایا کہ اس سیمینار کا مقصد ایک آزادانہ اور پیشہ وارانہ ماحول میں آن لائن سسٹم کے ذریعے تحقیق کے نت نئے رجحانات کو زیر بحث لانا اور شرکاء کو اس بات کی ترغیب دینا ہے کہ وہ پاکستان کو درپیش مختلف معاشرتی اور معاشی مسائل کو حل کرنے کے لیے جدید تحقیق کو سیکھیں اور عملی زندگی میں اس سے استفادہ حاصل کریں۔

سیمینار کے شرکاء ،جن میں اساتذہ، طلباء اور انڈسٹری سے تعلق رکھنے والے پیشہ وارانہ افراد موجود تھے نے تحقیق کی اہمیت اور اثریت کو ودسیع پیمانے تک پھیلانے کی راہ میں درپیش مسائل اور ان کے حل کے متعلق اپنے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا۔

Seminar on Qualitative Research Held at UO

The University of Okara’s Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management and Department of Economics organized an online seminar on Qualitative Research Methodologies. More than 100 participants from different universities attended the seminar and discussed emerging trends and techniques of research. 

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Farooq Ahmad, In-charge Hospitality Management and Economics while the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zakria Zakar was the Patron. 

Highlighting the objective of the event, Dr. Farooq told “The seminar is meant to enhance the learning of the participants on qualitative research through online, systematic, interactive and participatory approach and to sensitize the participants about the importance of research to address various social and economic issues being faced by the country.”

The participants including faculty members, MS and PhD students and industry professionals debated on the importance of qualitative research and strived to explore the areas that could be improved to make this research widely valuable and applicable.
