As the time of election is approaching, politics is heating up in the cold weather. Like all over the country, in Saraiki Wasib and Rahim Yar Khan district, a great atmosphere of competition between candidates belonging to different parties has started. Those candidates, who were doing politics on the tents till now, have come out in the field. In 6 national and 13 provincial assembly constituencies of Rahim Yar Khan district, political divisions have started. However, there are contests between Tehreek-e-Insaaf candidates in NA-171, a fugitive Azad group is also in the race. We can't say anything about the coming days, anything can happen at any time, but the politics of ideology is too small to say anything with certainty, a lot of things happen here even outside of the constitution and law.

NA 170 Khanpur Constituency consists of some rural areas and Abbasia's Chakkok apart from the city. It is going to be between Federal Minister Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi and Tehreek-e-Insaf's tiger candidate Mian Ghos Muhammad. Sheikh Fayazuddin and Mian Ghos Muhammad Lad are local, while Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi belongs to Multan, the center of Saraykistan region. Many people think that Hamid Saeed Kazmi does not have much connection in Khanpur constituency like Liaquatpur Constituency NA 169, so he is a weak candidate. Regarding Jetha Bhatta Sharif, he is the brother of ex-MNA Mian Abdul Sattar and ex-MPA Mian Shafi Mohammad. Under NA 170, in the provincial wings, there are constituencies PP 257, 258, 259. The position of these constituencies is that PPP candidate in PP 257 Liaquatpur, former MPA Mian Islam Islam, former MP of Muslim League-N. O Chaudhry Masood Mahmood Ahmed, PTI's Jahanzeb Rasheed is contesting while there are some other candidates this seat will be won by either Chaudhry Masood Mahmood Ahmed or Mian Islam Islam pp 258 PMLN from Khanpur city. Chaudhry Arshad Javed, Chaudhry Ejaz Shafi of PTI and Mian Shehzad Anwar of People's Party are the candidates who have been former MPA, former provincial minister and former chairman Baldiya Khanpur respectively. All three candidates belong to the Arain community. The position of Chaudhry Ijaz Shafi was being said to be better here.

The position of Ejaz Shafi is highly dependent on him. A strong competition is expected between the three candidates here. Anyone can win the lottery in PP-259 Garhi Akhtar Khan constituency. In this constituency, there is a special vote bank of Arayan, Saraiki and Punjabi. Mian Muhammad Aslam Arayan has also been elected from here on the ticket of People's Party, who is now a part of Makhdoom Khusro group. There is also a question here that Mian Ghos will vote for his provincial wing Dr. Faisal or his brother Mian Shafi Muhammad in NA-170. There is no candidate of Makhdoom Khusro group in NA-170, so it is most likely rather certain. It is said that Mian Shafi Muhammad will help his brother. In all the above-mentioned constituencies, the candidates of Crane i.e. Tehreek Labeek and Tarazo i.e. Jamaat-e-Islami are also part of the political race.

This will be known only on the night of political fog on February 8. Keeping in front of the stated and many unsaid situations and issues, I am reminded of the saying of the Saraiki language, "A quail under the feet of a blind man." Hamid Saeed Kazmi should not take the field secretly. Hamid Saeed Kazmi is not a weaker candidate than former MNA Major (R) Tanveer Hussain Syed of People's Party. I think the migrant voters of Khanpur city also vote for Hamid Saeed Kazmi externally or internally. Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi's house-to-house and door-to-door begging for votes should not be considered normal. This style of election campaign has become another test for capitalist and feudal politicians.
