Okara: Traffic problems are problems of human behavior. It is possible only with education.

اوکاڑ(جاویدراہی)اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی میں ضلعی پولیس انتظامیہ کے تعاون سےٹریفک قوانین کی آگہی کے حوالے سے ایک سیمینار منعقد ہوا جس میں وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریاذاکر، ریجینل پولیس آفیسر احمد ارسلان ملک اور ڈسٹرکٹ پولیس آفیسر رانا فیصل شہزاد نے  طلباء کے ساتھ ٹریفک کے مسائل پہ انسانی رویوں، معاشرتی اقدار ، قوانین اور انفراسٹرکچر کے تناظر میں بات چیت کی سیمینار سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ ٹریفک کےحادثات انسانی رویوں کے باعث پیش آتے ہیں اور ان رویوں کی تبدیلی تعلیمی اداروں کے ذریعے ہی ممکن ہو سکتی ہے ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ یونیورسٹیوں اور ریاستوں کاعروج و زوال ایک دوسرے سے منسلک ہے۔ ہم اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی میں کمیونٹی آوٹ ریچ کے ذریعے ٹریفک قوانین کی پابندی اور قانون کی عمل داری سمیت دیگر تمام مسائل کا حل کرنے کےلیے کوشاں ہیں اور اوکاڑہ بہت جلد شہر علم کے حوالے سے جانا جائے گا۔

طلباء نے یونیورسٹی کے گردو نواح میں ٹریفک کے مسائل پہ تحفظات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے ضلعی انتظامیہ سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ ان مسائل کے فوری حل کےلیے انقلابی اقدامات کرے۔

طلباء کے سوالات کا جواب دیتے ہوئے آر پی او کا کہنا تھا کہ پولیس بھی معاشرے کا ایک حصہ ہے اور شہریوں کے تعاون کے بغیر وہ قانون کی پاسداری نہیں کروا سکتی۔ انہوں نے طلباء کو ترغیب دی کہ وہ معاشرے میں اخلاقی اقدار کی ترویج کےلیے کام کریں تاکہ پولیس کا بوجھ بانٹا جا سکے۔

سیمینار کے اختتام پہ ضلعی پولیس انتظامیہ کی جانب سے طلباء میں ہیلمٹ تقسیم کیے گئے۔

Traffic Rules Awareness Seminar Held at UO

A Seminar on ‘Traffic Rules Awareness, was organized at the University of Okara in collaboration with the regional police authorities. The UO Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, the Regional Police Officer Ahmed Arslan Malik and the District Police Officer Rana Faisal Shehzad discussed various behavioral, societal and infrastructural matters with the students in an interactive session.

Addressing to the students, the VC said that the traffic problems was a matter of behavioral change and this would emanate from the university education. 

He further told, “Universities and nations rise and fall together. We will address all issues through community outreach. Okara will soon become a knowledge-intensive city”. 

The students raised certain reservations regarding the traffic infrastructure of the university’s surrounding areas and demanded the district authorities to take drastic initiatives to address such problems. 

Answering to their questions, the RPO said, “Police is a reflection of the society it operates in”. He encouraged the students to work for inculcating moral and ethical values in the society so that the policing responsibility of the state could be shared. 

At the end of the seminar, more than one hundred helmets were distributed among the students with high grades by the regional police department.
