اوکاڑہ: اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی میں سائنسی ماڈلز کی نمائش کا انعقاد

Okara: An exhibition of scientific models was organized at Okara University

اوکاڑہ(جاویدراہی) اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی کے شعبہ سائنس ایجوکیشن کے طلباء نے سائنسی ماڈلز کی دو روزہ نمائش کا انعقاد کیا جس میں ماحولیاتی تبدیلیوں، پائیدار ترقی اور توانائی کے نئے ذرائع پہ مشتمل ماڈلز پیش کیے گئے۔

وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد زکریا ذاکر اور شعبہ سائنس ایجوکیشن کی سربراہ ڈاکٹر نسرین اختر سمیت مختلف شعبہ جات کے دیگر اساتذہ نے بھی نمائش کا دورہ کیا اور طلباء کی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں کو سراہا اس موقع پر طلباء سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے وائس چانسلر نے کہا کہ اوکاڑہ یونیورسٹی نے ہمیشہ تخلیقی سوچ اور عملی تعلیم کی حوصلہ افزائی کی ہے۔ ان کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ ہم طلباء کو انڈسٹری کی ضروریات کے حساب سے نئے نظریات پہ کام کرنے کےلیے سہولیات کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنا رہے ہیں ڈاکٹر نسرین نے بتایا کہ وہ طلباء میں تخلیقی و تنقیدی سوچ پیدا کرنے کےلیے کوشاں ہیں تاکہ وہ دور جدید کے تقاضوں کے مطابق خود کو ڈھال سکیں نمائش کے اختتام پہ سب سے بہتر ماڈلز پیش کرنے والے طلباء میں سرٹیفیکیٹ اور شیلڈز تقسیم کی گئیں۔

Science Models Exhibition held at UO

The students of the University of Okara’s Department of Science Education presented creative and innovative models on environment, ecology and sustainable development in a two-day exhibition. 

The Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, the Department Chairperson, Dr Nasrin Akhtar, and the judges from the Faculty of Life Science visited the exhibition and appreciated the students for their state-of-the-art works. 

Talking to the students, the VC said that the UO administration always encouraged ingenious thinking and practical learning. “We are empowering and facilitating the students to work on industry-oriented and cutting edge ideas so that they be able to bring change in the society”.

Dr Nasrin told that she was working on inculcating originative and critical thinking among her students in a bid to prepare them to cope with the challenges of the modern world. 

The exhibition ended with the prize distribution ceremony where the top-ranked stalls were awarded with certificates and shields.
